MCALLEN, Texas – (May 20, 2025) – Telemundo 40 Rio Grande Valley / KTLM, part of NBCUniversal Local’s Telemundo Station Group, announced this week that Gabriela Gutiérrez has been appointed meteorologist for Noticias Telemundo 40 on weekends at 5 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Gutiérrez, who earned a degree in meteorology from Mississippi State University this month, debuted in her new role on Sunday, May 18. She joins Brenda Cantú and Karina Segovia as part of an expanded meteorology team at Noticias Telemundo 40.

Since 2021, she has served as a weather anchor for Telemundo 40 and reported on weather and other news events relevant in the South Texas Valley in McAllen, Texas.
