“Game Changer Awards and Benefit” Presented by Levi’s® Airing Tuesday, May 27 at 7 p.m. on NBC Sports Bay Area
Bay Area Pro Athletes to Honor Inspirational Coaches Who Made a Lasting Impact
SAN FRANCISCO – May 14, 2025 – Positive Coaching Alliance and NBC Sports Bay Area today announced the annual Game Changer Awards and Benefit, presented by Levi’s®, airing Tuesday, May 27 at 7 p.m. on NBC Sports Bay Area.
Held at the Fairmont San Francisco on Thursday, May 22, the Game Changer Awards and Benefit celebrates the power of coaching and the positive influence of sports in young people’s lives. The event features Bay Area professional athletes honoring the coaches and mentors who shaped their personal and athletic journeys. This year’s featured presenters include:
-Moses Moody, Golden State Warriors guard, will honor his AAU coach, Marland Smith.
-Randy Winn, former San Francisco Giants outfielder, will honor his father, Dwight Winn.
-Abby Dahlkemper, Bay FC defender, will honor Sacred Heart Prep coach Jake Moffat.
NBC Sports Bay Area’s Bonta Hill and Laura Britt will co-host the evening.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Positive Coaching Alliance and its mission to transform the culture of youth sports – ensuring every child, regardless of background, has access to a positive and equitable sports experience.

In addition to honoring the mentors of professional athletes, the ceremony will include the presentation of PCA’s 2025 Coach of the Year Award, presented by TeamSnap, to Jareem Gunter of the “Dream Team” from Antioch, Calif. Gunter is being recognized for his positive impact on youth and for helping make sports more equitable and accessible for all, while making a meaningful difference in his community.
