‘The Listing’ – Hosted by Cortney Hall – Premieres Sunday, May 18 at 8:30 AM CT
Chicago, IL (May 12, 2025) – Beginning Sunday, May 18 at 8:30 AM CT, Chicago area viewers will get an exclusive, insider’s look at the hottest residential properties on the market as NBC 5 Chicago (WMAQ-TV) unveils a brand new, weekly, locally-focused luxury real estate series, The Listing.
Hosted / Executive Produced by Cortney Hall, co-star of NBC 5’s popular weekday entertainment & lifestyle program Chicago Today, NBC 5 will air weekly premiere episodes of The Listing on Sunday mornings at 8:30 AM CT, immediately following NBC 5 News at 8am. The program will also stream simultaneously on NBCChicago.com, the NBC 5 Chicago News 24/7 live streaming channel and on NBC Chicago’s YouTube channel.
In addition to taking a deep, visual dive into the most-coveted listings in Chicago and the city’s surrounding suburbs, not to mention an inside look at breathtaking properties in Michigan, Wisconsin and Indiana, The Listing will take viewers on a homeowner’s dream journey highlighting up to three properties per episode, all aligned with a sharp focus on architecture, design trends and history.
“I was born and raised in Chicago, and I’m constantly reminded of the beauty and history woven into this city,” said Hall. “I’ve watched my mom build a successful career in design and luxury real estate, which has always had a lasting impression on me. ‘The Listing’ is my way of showcasing not just stunning residences, but also the diverse neighborhoods, rich histories, architecture, and design that make Chicago and its surrounding suburbs unlike anywhere else in the country.”
Every episode of The Listing will also feature a dedicated “theme,” including “Skyline Views,” “South Side Mansions,” “Famously-Owned,” “Lakefront Luxury,” “Baller Brownstones” and “Glamourous Getaways” among others.
Throughout the series, Hall will be joined by esteemed luxury real estate broker Carrie McCormick, who will provide key takeaway tips for buyers, sellers and homeowners. Ben Cohen, Managing Director at Rate, will also appear to give insight on the ever-changing real estate market. In addition to Carrie McCormick Luxury Group and Ben Cohen at Rate, The Listing is also in partnership with Chicago Title & Trust and the Chicago Architecture Center.
