‘Loving Little House: The 50th Anniversary Celebration’ Features Iconic Show’s Cast Members & Fans
One-Hour Original Documentary Encores Sept. 9 & Sept. 25 on COZI TV
NEW YORK – (Sept. 5, 2024) – COZI TV, NBCUniversal Local’s national multicast network, will premiere a new one-hour Little House on the Prairie original documentary this weekend as the iconic show celebrates the 50th anniversary of its series debut. Loving Little House: The 50th Anniversary Celebrationwill be presented on Saturday, Sept. 7, at 7 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. CT, and encore on Monday Sept. 9 and Wednesday, Sept. 25.
Loving Little House: The 50th Anniversary Celebration features exclusive interviews with several Little House on the Prairie cast members, including Melissa Gilbert, Alison Arngrim, Melissa Sue Anderson and Dean Butler. The actors share their memories and reflections from the show’s original run, which ended in 1983, and pay tribute to fellow cast member and the series’ creator, producer and director, the late Michael Landon.
The program also showcases the Simi Valley, Calif., location where Little House on the Prairie was filmed, and documents an April 2024 cast reunion and festival held on the site to celebrate the show’s milestone anniversary. Many of the attendees, adorned in 19th century attire like those worn by the Ingalls family and their neighbors, are interviewed about the show’s lasting impact and influence on them and their lives.
