SAN JOSE, Calif. (December 10, 2025) – Telemundo 48 / KSTS and NBC Bay Area / KNTV will kick off Tu Momento. Tu Jugada., Telemundo’s nationwide community engagement tour leading into the FIFA World Cup 2026™, with a large-scale youth soccer celebration on Thursday, Dec. 11, at the Santa Clara Youth Soccer Park.
Santa Clara was selected as the national launch site for the tour, reflecting its role as a FIFA World Cup 2026™ host city – with Levi’s Stadium set to host multiple matches – and as the site of Super Bowl LX. The city’s long-standing commitment to youth sports, civic engagement and multicultural programming also contributed to its selection. Nearly 400 students from Santa Clara Unified School District, Alum Rock Union School District and America SCORES Bay Area are expected to participate in the day’s activities.
“As the Spanish-language home of the FIFA World Cup 2026, our mission goes beyond broadcasting the matches – it’s about making the World Cup experience accessible to every family in our community,” said Stacy Owen, President and General Manager of Telemundo 48 and NBC Bay Area. “Launching Tu Momento. Tu Jugada. in Santa Clara allows us to celebrate youth, elevate local partnerships and showcase the incredible spirit of the Bay Area as we count down to 2026.”
The Bay Area celebration is the first stop on an eight-city national tour designed to bring World Cup excitement directly into local neighborhoods through community festivals, youth clinics, interactive experiences and leadership activities.
