DENVER – (June 16, 2025) – Telemundo Colorado / KDEN, part of NBCUniversal Local’s Telemundo Station Group, announced today that Kehiry Castillo has been named co-anchor for Noticiero Telemundo Colorado alongside Yesmani Gómez on weekdays at 4 p.m. 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. Castillo will continue to serve as a multimedia journalist.
“Kehiry’s passion for storytelling and dedication to our community make her a natural fit for this expanded role,” said Griselle Sierra, News Director for Telemundo Colorado. “Her growth in the newsroom has been exceptional and we’re excited to see her continue to connect with our viewers in this next chapter.”
Castillo joined KDEN in 2023 as a multimedia journalist. Since then, she has led impactful coverage, including an in-depth investigation about the poor living conditions at the Nome apartment complex in Aurora, CO. Her reporting uncovered alleged links to organized crime and marked the first mention of Tren de Aragua on Telemundo Colorado’s platforms. She has also provided ongoing coverage of the migrant crisis in Denver, producing national reports for Noticias Telemundo and closely following the experiences of newly arrived families.
Prior to that, she worked at Telemundo Atlanta / WKTB, where she served as an entertainment reporter and producer. She began her career in journalism as a production assistant and editor at the for WKTB and previously was a reporter and video editor for It Is Written, Inc.
Castillo earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communications with a concentration in media production from Southern Adventist University.
