PHILADELPHIA – (February 28, 2024)– NBC10 and Telemundo 62 announced today that Yukare Nakayama has joined the Philadelphia stations as a bilingual reporter. Nakayama will start Monday, March 4, 2024.
“We are excited to have Yukare join our team in Philadelphia,” said Elizabeth Flores, Vice President of News for NBC10 and Telemundo62. “As a bilingual journalist, she will bring a unique perspective to her news reporting that will benefit our viewers in both English and Spanish.”
Nakayama comes to Philadelphia, from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she worked as a bilingual reporter for CBS58 and Telemundo Wisconsin. Prior to that, she served as a community journalist for ABC7 WLS-TV in Chicago. Before that she worked as a general assignment reporter WHBF-TV in Rock Island, Illinois. She also did a stint as an intern for NBC News in Washington, D.C.
The Emmy-nominated journalist of Mexican and Japanese descent hails from the suburbs of Chicago. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Marketing from American University.
In her free time, Nakayama enjoys working out at the gym, trying out new cuisines, painting, and spending time with friends and family.

YUKARE NAKAYAMA SE UNE A TELEMUNDO62 y NBC10 COMO REPORTERA BILINGÜE
FILADELFIA – (27 de febrero de 2024) –Telemundo62 y NBC10 anunciaron hoy que Yukare Nakayama se unirá a las estaciones de Filadelfia como reportera bilingüe. Nakayama comenzará el lunes 4 de marzo de 2024.
“Estamos emocionados de que Yukare se una a nuestro equipo en Filadelfia”, dijo Elizabeth Flores, vicepresidenta de noticias de Telemundo62 y NBC10. “Como periodista bilingüe, aportará una perspectiva única a sus noticias lo cual beneficiará a nuestras audiencias tanto en inglés como en español”.
Nakayama llega a Filadelfia, desde Milwaukee, Wisconsin, donde trabajó como reportera bilingüe para CBS58 y Telemundo Wisconsin. Antes de eso, trabajó como periodista con enfoque en la comunidad para ABC7 WLS-TV en Chicago. Antes de eso, trabajó como reportera general para WHBF-TV en Rock Island, Illinois. También realizó una pasantía para NBC News en Washington, D.C.
Nominada a premios Emmy y de ascendencia mexicana y japonesa, Nakayama es originaria de los suburbios de Chicago. Obtuvo una licenciatura en Periodismo Televisivo con especialización en Marketing del American University.
En su tiempo libre, ella disfruta hacer ejercicio en el gimnasio, probar nuevas cocinas, pintar y pasar tiempo con sus amigos y familia.
