acceleration in economic growth.\u00a0 We&#8217;re not seeing that here, why?<\/p>\n<p>JAMIE DIMON:<\/p>\n<p>I give&#8211; President Bush, President Obama, Hank Paulson, Tim Geithner, Ben Bernanke enormous credit for stopping it from getting worse.\u00a0 And I think if they had not taken a lot of those actions it likely woulda gotten worse.\u00a0 And they didn&#8217;t wanna take the risk, nor do I think they should have.<\/p>\n<p>I think that since then&#8211;I&#8217;m not going to blame any side here&#8211; we&#8217;ve had a series of things which I think just slowed things down.\u00a0 And&#8211; for example, the debt ceiling crisis, government shutdowns&#8211; gridlock on taxes, budgets&#8211; we didn&#8217;t finish immigration policy, th&#8211; those things are not good for America.\u00a0 And I think had not&#8211; I can never prove this.\u00a0 I think had we done all those things including like\u2014Simpson-Bowles, Chuck Schumer and McCain came up with&#8211; an immigration&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>CHUCK TODD:<\/p>\n<p>Immigration.<\/p>\n<p>JAMIE DIMON:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;plan, detailed immigration plan which is&#8211; which is moral, right and good for the country.\u00a0 If we did the trade, if we do those things we&#8217;d be growing a lot faster.<\/p>\n<p>CHUCK TODD:<\/p>\n<p>So you&#8217;re blaming Washington.\u00a0 You&#8217;re basically saying the economy&#8211; we would be at 3.5%, 4% growth without Washington gridlock?<\/p>\n<p>JAMIE DIMON:<\/p>\n<p>Yeah, I&#8217;m not going to blame Washington because, you know, remember we elect those people.\u00a0 So you know&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>CHUCK TODD:<\/p>\n<p>So you blame us?<\/p>\n<p>JAMIE DIMON:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;blame all of us.\u00a0 You know, that if you&#8211; if we want people in
