{"id":948,"date":"2015-09-17T12:15:49","date_gmt":"2015-09-17T16:15:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/press.nbcnews.com\/?p=948"},"modified":"2015-09-17T12:15:49","modified_gmt":"2015-09-17T16:15:49","slug":"today-wins-2-straight-weeks-for-3rd-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nbcuniversalnewsgroup.com\/nbcnews\/2015\/09\/17\/today-wins-2-straight-weeks-for-3rd-time\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;TODAY&#8217; WINS 2 STRAIGHT WEEKS FOR 3rd TIME"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>TODAY Has Posted Its 3rd Back-to-Back Key Demo<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Win in 4 Months<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>TODAY Has Won 9 Weeks in the Key Demo this Year<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Year Over Year, TODAY Has Dramatically Cut the Key Demo and Total Viewer Gaps with GMA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>TODAY Continues as the #1 Morning News Show in A18-49\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>NEW YORK \u2013 September 17, 2015 \u2013 NBC\u2019s TODAY was once again the number-one morning show last week in the key demo A25-54, marking two straight weeks in first place and beating Good Morning America for nine weeks this year.\u00a0 This is the third time in four months that TODAY has won two straight weeks in the key demo.<\/p>\n<p>TODAY is now significantly narrowing the year-over-year gaps with GMA.\u00a0 Season to date, TODAY has cut the key demo gap\u00a0by 20% and the\u00a0total viewer gap by 11% versus the same period last season.\u00a0For the quarter, TODAY has cut the key demo gap with GMA by a giant 89% and the total viewer gap by 27% versus the same period last year.<\/p>\n<p>TODAY closed the total viewer gap with GMA by 23% versus the same week last year.\u00a0 In the key demo, TODAY scored a 102% turnaround from last year\u2019s -219k demo gap to a +5k viewer victory last week.<\/p>\n<p>This year, TODAY has posted multiple wins including the July sweep key demo win, nine weekly key demo wins and three daily total viewer wins.
