NEW YORK – January 8, 2015 – In anticipation of the 72nd annual Golden Globe Awards, Meredith Vieira will host a star-studded primetime special “Countdown to the Globes,” featuring interviews with some of Hollywood’s hottest stars and 2014 Golden Globe nominees including Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Keaton, Patricia Arquette, Uzo Aduba, Kevin Spacey, John Legend, Ricky Gervais, and many more. \u201cCountdown to the Globes,\u201d an NBC News production, airs this Friday, January 9 at 10pm\/9c.<\/p>\n

Golden Globe nominee Benedict Cumberbatch sits down with Cynthia McFadden to discuss his role as British mathematician Alan Turing in “The Imitation Game.\u201d Cumberbatch is nominated for Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama and \u201cThe Imitation Game\u201d is nominated for Best Motion Picture, Drama.<\/p>\n

Patricia Arquette talks to Maria Menounos about her nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for her performance in the indie film favorite, \u201cBoyhood.\u201d Nominated for Best Original Song, John Legend and Common sing their ballad \u201cGlory,\u201d which is featured in the Golden Globe nominated Martin Luther King biopic, \u201cSelma.\u201d<\/p>\n
