The series, hosted by NBC News Senior International Correspondent&nbsp;<strong>Keir Simmons<\/strong>, explores Prince Charles\u2019 long-awaited reign as all eyes turn to the royals and asks what a modern monarchy would look like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><a href=\"https:\/\/podcasts.apple.com\/us\/podcast\/born-to-rule-when-charles-is-king\/id1625171855\">Click here<\/a> to listen to the trailer.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At a defining moment for the country, the five-episode series will examine Prince&nbsp;Charles\u2019&nbsp;decades of preparation to wear his mother\u2019s crown, uncover secrets about the man&nbsp;who will rule over the United Kingdom&nbsp;and delve into the monarchy\u2019s place in the modern world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Interviews throughout the series with royal insiders and journalists on the beat include&nbsp;former member of&nbsp;Princess Diana\u2019s&nbsp;security team&nbsp;Ken Wharfe,&nbsp;writers&nbsp;Tina Brown and Tom Bower,&nbsp;podcast host and royal commentator Kristen Meinzer&nbsp;and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first two episodes of&nbsp;<em>Born to Rule<\/em>&nbsp;will be available on Monday, May 30, with a new episode released each&nbsp;following&nbsp;Monday on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or wherever you listen to podcasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The launch of the\u00a0<em>Born to Rule<\/em>\u00a0podcast is part of the week-long series \u201cThe Queen&#8217;s Platinum Jubilee,\u201d which will begin airing across NBC News and MSNBC platforms on May 29th. The series will explore Queen Elizabeth\u2019s 70 years of service, the renewed interest in the monarchy and heightened division, as well as the future of the royal family, ahead of the Platinum Jubilee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The&nbsp;podcast series&nbsp;is the latest addition to the NBCUniversal News Group\u2019s expansive portfolio and is part of the podcast unit\u2019s biggest year yet, with five original podcast premieres within the first two quarters alone.
