Schmidt will also reveal the ethical dilemmas he faced as the head of Google. The interview will air on <strong>MSNBC<\/strong> and <strong>NBC News NOW,<\/strong> with a preview airing that morning on <strong><em>TODAY<\/em><\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, NBC News correspondent <strong>Janis Mackey Frayer<\/strong> will report from Beijing throughout the week. On Friday\u2019s <strong><em>NBC Nightly News<\/em><\/strong>, she will report on why the Chinese government is cracking down on its tech universe, including sweeping new controls on everything from online touring to internet fan clubs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additional programming throughout the week will include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Reporting for <strong><em>NBC Nightly News<\/em><\/strong><em> <\/em>tonight, October 18, from China\u2019s Port in Greece, NBC News correspondent <strong>Keir Simmons<\/strong> will explore China\u2019s infrastructure investments around the world.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Ward<\/strong> will also speak with the CEO of Intel about how the United States can end its dependence on imported microchips. The interview will air Thursday on <strong><em>NBC Nightly News<\/em><\/strong><em> <\/em>and <strong>NBC News NOW<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>On TODAY, NBC News\u2019<strong> Kerry Sanders <\/strong>will exclusively report, in partnership with researchers at Oxford University\u2019s Internet Institute, on Beijing\u2019s influence campaign. <strong>Sanders<\/strong> will also look at the upcoming 50th anniversary of panda exchanges between the United States and China.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>On <strong>MSNBC<\/strong>, NBC News Pentagon correspondent <strong>Courtney Kube <\/strong>will preview The Pentagon\u2019s China Military report.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>NBC News\u2019<strong> Josh Lederman<\/strong> will have exclusive access on <strong>NBC News NOW<\/strong> to the only operational lithium mine in the United States, as he explores whether the United States can catch up with China as the world shifts from fossil fuels to renewable energy.
