Roker spent days studying the climate\u2019s\neffect on Greenland\u2019s coastline. His reports will air throughout the week on\nTODAY.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additionally,\nLester Holt will travel to Alaska, where he lived as a child when his father\nserved in the U.S. Air Force,&nbsp;to cover the impact of climate on the\nregion\u2019s landscape. He will take an in-depth look at the effect of climate on\nAlaska\u2019s natural wonders, including the Portage Glacier, and he\u2019ll also explore\nthe thawing Alaskan permafrost threatening communities. Holt\u2019s special segment\nwill air on Nightly News Monday, September 16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As\npart of the series, MSNBC\u2019s Chris Hayes and Ali Velshi will moderate \u201cClimate\nForum 2020,\u201d a two-day event featuring 2020 presidential candidates in\nconversation with young voters on climate issues.&nbsp;The event, hosted by\nGeorgetown Institute of Politics and Public Service, MSNBC, Our Daily Planet\nand New York Magazine, will be live-streamed in part on NBC News Now and\nTelemundo and featured on MSNBC programming, Thursday, September 19 and Friday,\nSeptember 20.&nbsp;Hayes will also dedicate a live hour of MSNBC\u2019s \u201cAll in with\nChris Hayes\u201d exclusively to climate that week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Telemundo\nwill feature coverage from its senior correspondent Vanessa Hauc, who is\nleading its \u201cNoticias Telemundo Planeta Tierra\u201d investigative unit on\nenvironmental issues.&nbsp; Hauc will also cover the \u201cClimate Forum 2020\u201d from\nGeorgetown.&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">NBC\nNews\u2019 new Climate Unit was born from its previous Weather Unit and will devote\nits resources, reporters and correspondents to covering the world\u2019s climate and\nenvironment.
