NOVEMBER 4, 2018 \u2013 In an interview on Meet the Press<\/em>, Stacey Abrams said President Trump\u2019s assessment that she is \u201cunqualified\u201d is \u201cvapid and shallow.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Georgia Democratic gubernatorial candidate, running against current Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp, also said that she does believe it will be a fair election.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have seen unprecedented turnout in this race from people who normally do not engage and do not vote. Some of that has been driven by the conversations of voter suppression because one of the best ways to encourage people to use something is to tell them that someone is trying to take it away. Luckily we\u2019ve had two court decisions against Brian Kemp.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition, Republican Tennessee Governor Bill <\/strong>Haslam <\/strong>joined Chuck Todd for an exclusive interview to discuss Tuesday\u2019s midterm election stating that no \u201crace is entirely on the president, win or lose.\u201d<\/p>\n

Haslam also remarked on if Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp and Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, both gubernatorial candidates for their respective states, should recuse themselves from the vote-counting process on Tuesday stating, \u201cI don’t think so. Again, I don’t know the specifics of exactly how the process works in their states. But I know how it works in our state, and the secretary of state’s role in it. And while he oversees the process, there are a lot of people involved in that. Again, if our secretary of state was running, I wouldn’t ask him to step down because there are so many checks and balances in the process that I just don’t have any fear about the integrity of the ballot.\u201d Watch the full interview<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Chairman of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Sen. Chris Van Hollen<\/strong> (D-Md.) joined the broadcast to discuss Tuesday\u2019s midterm elections saying Democrats \u201cdo have a narrow path to a Senate Democratic majority.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cEverything comes down to turnout. And we’ve got more than seven Senate races that are, you know, down to the wire and the margin of error. Republican Senate candidate Josh Hawley<\/strong> was slated to appear on Meet the Press<\/em> but canceled yesterday citing scheduling conflicts.<\/p>\n
