‘Dateline\u2019 Posts Biggest November Sweep Advantages over ABC in 15 Years <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Broadcast Grows in Total Viewership and Every Key Demo vs. July 2017 Sweep While 20\/20 Declines by Double Digits<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

November 27, 2017 \u2013 \u201cDateline NBC\u201d topped ABC\u2019s \u201c20\/20\u201d across the board for the third consecutive sweep period, posting its biggest November sweep advantages over ABC in 15 years since 2002. \u201cDateline\u201d averaged 5.0 million\u00a0total viewers, outperforming ABC\u2019s \u201c20\/20\u201d\u00a0by 2.2 million (+82%). Compared to the previous November sweep, total viewership for \u201cDateline\u201d was up +5% (+225,000) while \u201c20\/20\u201d was down -34% (-1.386 million).<\/p>\n

\u201cDateline\u201d also won both A25-54 and A18-49 demos for the November 2017\u00a0period, averaging 1.6 million A25-54 viewers, leading ABC by +675,000 (+74%). \u00a0Among A18-49, the broadcast averaged 1.2 million viewers, topping ABC by +521,000 (+79%).<\/p>\n

Versus July 2017 sweep, \u201cDateline\u201d was up +10% (437,000) in total viewers, up +16% (+213,000) in A25-54 viewers and up +12% with +129,000 A18-49 viewers. \u201c20\/20\u201d was down across-the-board since the July sweep.<\/p>\n
