OCT. 15, 2017 \u2013 UN Ambassador Nikki Haley<\/strong> addressed the Iran nuclear deal this morning, telling \u201cMeet the Press\u201d moderator Chuck Todd that \u201cright now, you\u2019re going to see us stay in the deal\u201d and \u201cthe whole reason we’re looking at this Iran agreement is because of North Korea \u2026 What we’re saying now with Iran is don’t let it become the next North Korea.\u201d<\/p>\n

Haley also spoke about the palace intrigue surrounding the White House: \u201cI am glad to be living in New York \u2026 I don’t want to be near the drama and I don’t want to be near the gossip.\u201d She added that President Trump has full confidence in Secretary of State Tillerson and that \u201cif there’s a problem, that’s really a question for Secretary Tillerson. Ohio Gov. John Kasich<\/strong>, who exclusively joined the broadcast this morning, told Todd that the Trump administration\u2019s Friday announcement to end health care subsidies is \u201coutrageous\u201d: \u201cThese were payments to insurance companies to make sure that hardworking Americans, who don’t make a lot of money, can have their copayments taken care of. It’s a subsidy to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n

The governor also didn\u2019t rule out running for president in 2020: \u201cI don’t know what I’m going to do tomorrow. You know, I will tell you this. The other day, with all the chaos going on, my wife said to me one morning, she said, “You know, John, I wish you were president.” That’s how I knew the country was in trouble.”\u00a0Watch the full interview.<\/a><\/p>\n
