SEPT. 3, 2017 \u2013 In an exclusive interview on \u201cMeet the Press\u201d this morning, Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) <\/strong>reacted to North Korea\u2019s nuclear test conducted overnight<\/a>, telling moderator Chuck Todd: \u201cThe president putting everything on the table is not a bad thing right now, both for North Korea, but maybe, more importantly, for China to be thinking about how consequential this behavior is.\u201d He added that North Korea has been \u201cthe number-one topic, month after month\u201d in the Senate Intelligence Committee.<\/p>\n

NBC News correspondent Ron Allen<\/strong> joined the broadcast live from Seoul, South Korea,<\/a> and NBC News chief foreign affairs correspondent Andrea Mitchell<\/strong> offered analysis of the president\u2019s tweets this morning<\/a>, telling Todd that \u201cthe word \u2018appeasement\u2019 is just such an insult to South Korea, which is sitting there right in target range.\u201d<\/p>\n

The broadcast then turned its focus to the aftermath of historic Hurricane Harvey. Blunt responded to the administration tying the debt ceiling to Harvey spending: \u201cThat\u2019s one way to do it. \u2026 I never have great enthusiasm for raising the debt ceiling.\u201d Watch the senator\u2019s full interview.<\/a><\/p>\n
