JULY 2, 2017 — In an exclusive interview this morning, Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price<\/strong> addressed the president\u2019s tweets this week attacking MSNBC \u201cMorning Joe\u201d hosts, telling moderator Chuck Todd that the president \u201ccan do more than one thing at a time\u201d and is \u201cabsolutely not\u201d too distracted to campaign for health care.<\/p>\n

Price claimed that analyses that show premiums rising for seniors don\u2019t take into account everything HHS is doing to roll back rules and regulations: \u201cIf you look at it in its totality, and nobody’s looking at it in its totality, we will bring down premiums.\u201d Watch the full interview. <\/a><\/p>\n

Sens. Tom Carper (D-Del.) <\/strong>and Bill Cassidy (R-La.) <\/strong>exclusively joined the program, addressing the president\u2019s tweets this week: Carper noted that Trump \u201cmakes it a lot harder for himself,\u201d while Cassidy said, \u201cI wake up in the morning and I read about the LSU Tigers. I don’t read about the president’s tweets,\u201d calling them \u201creprehensible.\u201d<\/p>\n

On the Senate healthcare bill, Carper said, \u201cThis is a great opportunity to pause. This is a great opportunity for guys like Bill and me and others to say, “What is it in the Affordable Care Act that we should fix, that needs to be fixed?””\u00a0Watch the full interview.<\/a><\/p>\n

Malcolm Gladwell<\/strong>, writer for The New Yorker and host of the \u201cRevisionist History\u201d podcast, told Todd that \u201cthe only thing worse than a complete lack of trust between the press and the government is press and a government that are completely chummy.\u201d And when it comes to the president\u2019s tweets, \u201cTrump is not behaving out of character in those moments.
