JUNE 25, 2017 \u2013 In an exclusive interview this morning, Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.)<\/strong> told \u201cMeet the Press\u201d moderator Chuck Todd that, when it comes to the Senate healthcare bill vote slated for this Thursday, he \u201cwould like to delay the thing.\u201d \u201cThere’s no way we should be voting on this next week. No way,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I find so disappointing is these bills aren’t going to fix the problem. They’re not addressing the root cause. They’re doing the same old Washington thing, throwing more money at the problem,\u201d the senator added. Watch the full interview.<\/a><\/p>\n

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.)<\/strong> exclusively agreed with Johnson on this morning\u2019s broadcast to delay the Senate healthcare vote: \u201cSen. Johnson is right. There is no way on God’s earth that this bill should be passed this week.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sanders, who argued that \u201cwe need a serious discussion\u201d and that \u201cthere has not been one public hearing\u201d on health care, also addressed the week\u2019s special GA-06 election: \u201cThere is a massive amount of demoralization on the part of the American people with the Democratic Party, with the Republican Party.\u201d Watch the full interview.<\/a><\/p>\n

Reps. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio) and Debbie Dingell (D-Mich.)<\/strong> exclusively joined \u201cMeet the Press\u201d to discuss the future of the Democratic Party and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi\u2019s leadership. \u201cThis is not about us having a family fight publicly,\u201d said Ryan. In reference to this week\u2019s special GA-06 election: \u201cIt would be hard for us to say that after five million being spent tying that candidate to her [Pelosi], that it didn’t have some effect. The Republicans wouldn’t still be using this if it didn’t have some effect. And so it’s still being used for a reason.\u201d Dingell noted: \u201cIf you’d get pragmatic, we always attack the leader.
