MARCH 12, 2017 — \u201cNobody will be worse off financially\u201d<\/a> under the Republican Party\u2019s new healthcare bill once it\u2019s enacted, said Health and Human Services Sec. Tom Price<\/strong> to \u201cMeet the Press\u201d moderator Chuck Todd this morning in an exclusive interview.<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cWe have a great opportunity to increase coverage over where we are right now.\u201d Price also rejected recent criticism calling the plan \u201cObamacare Lite,\u201d telling Todd \u201cabsolutely not.\u201d Watch the full interview.<\/a><\/p>\n

Former Health and Human Services Sec. Kathleen Sebelius<\/strong> exclusively joined the network broadcast, telling Todd that she\u2019s \u201cnot exactly sure what the goal is\u201d of the GOP\u2019s proposed plan, also known as the American Health Care Act (AHCA). \u201cThis does serious damage to the whole marketplace theory,\u201d<\/a> she said. \u201cCompanies will flee given the uncertainty and the likelihood this quickly becomes a high risk pool.\u201d Watch the full interview.<\/a><\/p>\n

Gov. John Kasich (R-Ohio) <\/strong>exclusively told Todd that President Trump is \u201cvery open to compromise\u201d<\/a> on the AHCA and has \u201cno doubt he\u2019d be flexible.\u201d Kasich said he believes the bill will get to the Senate, \u201cand that\u2019s where I hope they will make improvements.\u201d Watch the full interview.<\/a><\/p>\n
