October<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>TODAY Was the No. 1 Morning Show Once Again in the Demo Last Week<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>GMA is Down Double Digits in the Demo<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>NEW YORK \u2013 November 1, 2016 \u2013 NBC News\u2019 TODAY was the number-one morning show for the month of October topping ABC\u2019s \u201cGood Morning America\u201d in the key demo A25-54 by a whopping +225,000 viewers.\u00a0 TODAY has now won the demo for 14 consecutive months posting its largest October demo win over GMA in five years (since 2011), and tripling the demo gap versus last year.\u00a0 TODAY also cut the total viewer gap with GMA by 63% versus last October.<\/p>\n<p>TODAY won the week of October 24 in the key demo beating GMA by +157,000 viewers.\u00a0 Versus last year, TODAY more than doubled its A25-54 lead over GMA by 107% (+157,000 vs. +76,000 prior year).<strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>\u00a0GMA was down double digits (10%) in the demo versus the same week last year.<\/p>\n<p>*Please note:\u00a0As of 12\/28\/15, Nielsen national ratings are based on an expanded sample known as \u201cNPX,\u201d which effectively doubles the size of the Nielsen panel through a combination of additional meters and HHs.\u00a0While NPX is now the official currency of record, all data pre-12\/28\/15 remains based on the old sample \u2014 so year-to-year and other comparisons are versus pre-NPX data.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TODAY HIGHLIGHTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>OCTOBER <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>TODAY has ranked #1 among A25-54 viewers for 14 consecutive months (longest streak since 2011\/2012) and 15 of the last 16 months<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>TODAY averaged 1.723 million A25-54 viewers, +225,000 (+15%) more than GMA and +630,000 (+58%) higher than CBS<\/li>\n<li>TODAY held its widest October demo win over GMA since 2011<\/li>\n<li>Versus October 2015, TODAY improved its demo delivery by +1% (+19,000)<\/li>\n<li>TODAY more than tripled its A25-54 advantage over GMA vs. last year (+225,000 vs. +66,000 in October 2015)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Among A18-49 viewers, TODAY has been #1 for 19 recent data from comScore.
