Mary J. Blige plays Evillene, the Wicked Witch of the West, and Queen Latifah stars as the Wiz, the mysterious and powerful wizard who holds the keys to the Emerald City. Stephanie Mills, best known for playing Dorothy in the original Broadway production of \u201cThe Wiz,\u201d will portray Aunt Em.\u00a0 \u201cThe Wiz Live!\u201d airs Thursday, December 3 at 8pm\/7c on NBC.<\/p>\n<p>Also co-starring in \u201cThe Wiz Live!\u201d is Emmy Award winner Uzo Aduba (\u201cOrange Is the New Black\u201d), who will play Glinda, The Good Witch of the South, and Screen Actors Guild Award winner Amber Riley (\u201cGlee\u201d) as Addaperle, The Good Witch of the North. Oscar winner Common will act as the Bouncer, the gatekeeper of the entrance to Emerald City.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Making of The Wiz Live!\u201d is executive produced by Colleen Halpin and Mary Murphy serves as director.
