Tops ‘GMA3’ & Fox News Channel in A25-54 & A18-49, Beats MS NOW & CNN Across the Board
Delivers Largest Audiences Ever for a Second Quarter & Increases Viewership vs. Last Year
July 6, 2026 — NBC News Daily is the #1 afternoon news program on broadcast television in the key demos for 2Q’26, according to Nielsen Media Research.
NBC News Daily averaged 245,000 A25-54 viewers, topping GMA3 by +48,000 (+24%), expanding its lead over ABC by 6 times compared to last year to mark its biggest quarterly A25-54 advantage over ABC on record. In A18-49, NBC News Daily beat GMA3 by +36,000 (+24%) and averaged 184,000 viewers, its biggest quarterly A18-49 advantage over GMA3 ever.
Among total viewers, NBC News Daily averaged 1.347 million total viewers, closing the gap vs. ABC by 98% vs. last year to deliver its most narrow total viewer gap ever with GMA3.
NBC News Daily also grew across the board vs. last year: +27,000 in A25-54, +22,000 in A18-49 and +55,000 in total viewers. This marks the sixth consecutive quarter of NBC News Daily topping GMA3.
Additionally, NBC News Daily topped MS NOW and CNN’s 12-4 p.m. blocks across the board. NBC News Daily beat MS NOW by 3x among A25-54, 4x among A18-49 viewers and more than doubled its total viewership. The newscast also more than doubled CNN’s demo deliveries and led in total viewers by +96%, while outranking Fox News by +44% in A25-54 and +56% in A18-49.
NBC News Daily reaches even more viewers on its NBC News NOW streaming platform. Kate Snow, Morgan Radford, Vicky Nguyen and Zinhle Essamuah anchor from 12-4 p.m. ET on NBC News NOW, and depending on location, U.S. markets receive one of the four hours on their local NBC broadcast stations.
