All four newscasts beat their respective competitors despite a week packed with major sports programming, including the NBA Finals, FIFA World Cup and NHL Stanley Cup Final.
TODAY is the #1 morning show across all key measures for the week, averaging 3.1 million total viewers and 682,000 A25-54 viewers. The broadcast posted its 21st consecutive weekly win in total viewers, its longest streak since April 2012, while extending its lead in key demo A25-54 to 132 consecutive weeks. Season-to-date, TODAY is the # 1 morning show across the board.
NBC Nightly News with Tom Llamas is the #1 evening newscast for the week in the key demo with 1.1 million A25-54 viewers, marking its largest win over ABC World News Tonight in four months. Nightly News maintains its longest streak of year-over-year growth in A25-54 since November 2008. Season to-date, Nightly News also continues to deliver its closest key demo gaps vs. ABC in six years.
Meet the Press with Kristen Welker is the #1 Sunday public affairs show for A25-54 key demo viewers this past Sunday, June 14 with 390,000 viewers. Meet the Press has won five of the last eight weeks in the demo as it continues to lead #1 season-to-date.
NBC News Daily also wins the week across the board, topping GMA3 and CNN and MS NOW’s 12-4 p.m. ET blocks with 1.5 million total viewers and 307,000 A25-54 viewers.
