December 23, 2025 – NBC News is seeing increased momentum across television, streaming, and digital in 2025, reaching 126 million Americans each month and positioning the organization to finish the year once again as the #1 news organization, according to Comscore Content Measurement data through August.
- This is the 10th consecutive year TODAY leads the A25-54 demowith 586,000 viewers, commanding nearly 43% of the broadcast morning news demo share, a 14-year high. Season-to-date, TODAY is the #1 morning show with 2.855 million total viewers, A25-54 598,000 viewers and 382,000 A18-49 viewers, delivering its best total viewer lead vs. GMA in 14 years. And for the 4Q25, TODAY is pacing to win across the board for the first time in four quarters. TODAY.com also ranks as the third largest individual publisher among leading lifestyle and entertainment brands, averaging over 38 million monthly unique visitors in 2025.
- NBC Nightly News with Tom Llamas is regularly a top five program in total viewers in all of TV each week, averaging 6.172 total viewers and 833,00 A25-54 viewers, and season-to-date, improves its demo gaps vs. ABC’s World News Tonight to its strongest level in six years. For 4Q25, NBC Nightly News is pacing to grow double digits in A25-54 vs. the prior quarter and will mark its closest A25-54 gap vs. ABC in nearly 6 years, excluding the Paris Olympics.
- For the first time in four years, Meet the Press with Kristen Welker is #1 in the key A25-54 demo, averaging 459,000 viewers. Meet the Press will mark its 6th consecutive quarter as #1 in A25-54 with 424,000 viewers, its best streak in nearly 5 years.
- Dateline is the #1 most-watched newsmagazine franchise and the #1 most-watched true crime franchise in total linear minutes watched. In 2025, Dateline also topped ABC’s 20/20 in both key demos on Fridays, averaging 774,000 A25-54 viewers, 529,000 A18-49 viewers and 3.640 million total viewers. Dateline 24/7 is pacing towards its 6th consecutive record year, with double digit growth in monthly hours watched on the streaming channel.
- For 2025 and 4Q25, NBC News Daily is the #1 afternoon broadcast news program across all TV in the key A25-54 demo with 220,000 viewers and is posting its closest total viewer gap vs. ABC’s GMA3 on record for the year, improving by nearly 50% vs. 2024.
- NBC News NOW is pacing to have its best year ever in 2025, marking its seventh consecutive record year since launch, with continued year-over-year growth.
- NBC News’ daily podcast, Here’s the Scoop, grew its downloads by 17X since its debut, reaching nearly 7.5 million downloads since its June launch. Dateline’s original podcasts delivered its best year on record, growing by more than +20% vs. last year. The Dateline showcast continues to rank as the #1 true crime podcast for 51 straight months.
- NBCNews.com averaged over 80 million monthly unique visitors in 2025 so far, the #5 largest U.S. news site. Throughout the year, NBCNews.com routinely outperformed top news publishers like Fox News, ABC News, The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal. In September, NBCNews.com reached over 100 million unique visitors and was the #2 largest U.S. news site.
- NBC News recorded its best year ever on TikTok as the #1 U.S. news network on the platform, up +246% year-over-year.
- NBC News’ social media accounts drove a record volume of video views in 2025, up +190% year-over-year. TODAY had its best year ever on social media, +45% vs. 2024. On Instagram, TODAY delivered a record number of video views across social accounts, up +67% year-over-year.
