Mitchell Speaks Out for the First Time Since His Wife, Joyce Mitchell Was Charged With Aiding in the NY Prison Escape of Richard Matt and David Sweat

NEW YORK – June 22, 2015 – In an exclusive interview, Lyle Mitchell breaks his silence and sits down with TODAY’s Matt Lauer.  Mitchell is speaking out for the first time since his wife, Joyce Mitchell was charged with aiding in the prison escape of convicted murderers Richard Matt and David Sweat.  Matt and Sweat, who are still at large, escaped the Clinton Correction Facility in upstate New York, where Joyce and Lyle Mitchell worked.   The interview airs Tuesday, June 23 on NBC News’ TODAY.
