TODAY Tops GMA for 59 Consecutive Weeks in A25-54, Its Best Streak in More Than 3 Years

TODAY Is #1 in Key Demo Season to Date

NEW YORK – October 1, 2024 – NBC News’ TODAY was the number-one morning show outright for the month of September, topping “Good Morning America” in total viewers and the key A25-54 and A18-49 demos. This marks back-to-back monthly wins for TODAY in total viewers for the first time since January/February 2018.

TODAY also topped GMA in the key demo A25-54 last week. This marks its 59thconsecutive weekly demo win. Additionally, TODAY delivered its biggest A25-54 victory and closest total viewer gap versus GMA during a first week of the season in 13 years (since week of 9/19/2011).

Among A25-54:

  • TODAY averaged 658,000 A25-54 viewers, beating GMA by +220,000 (+50%) and leading CBS by +269,000 (+69%)

TODAY Digital has delivered 50 million average monthly unique visitors quarter-to-date, a level it’s reached for four of the last five quarters. 

  • TODAY reached its largest audience in five months in August 2024 and ranked as the second largest individual publisher among leading lifestyle and entertainment brands for the eighth straight month.
