#1 Most Watched Sunday Show in the Nation’s Capital for 81 Straight Months
Jan. 25, 2022 – Meet the Press with Chuck Todd (MTP) was the #1 most-watched Sunday show in the key demo this past Sunday, Jan. 23, according to Nielsen Media Research.
Tops Competition by Double Digits
MTP was #1 in the demo most valued by news advertisers and topped both ABC and CBS by double digits. MTP averaged 632,000 A25-54 viewers, topping ABC’s This Week by +18 percent (+98,000) and CBS’s Face the Nation by +16 percent (+87,000). This marks MTP’s biggest demo audience in nearly six months (since August 8, 2021). Compared to last week, MTP was up +22 percent (+114,000).
Sunday’s broadcast featured interviews with Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Elissa Slotkin and averaged 2.718 million total viewers: six percent (+162,000) more than ABC. Compared to last week, MTP was up four percent (+102,000).
An additional 278,000 total viewers and 76,000 A25-54 viewers watched the Sunday program through a rebroadcast on NBC.
Reaches More Than 969,300 Video Views Across Digital
Last week, MTP reached more than 969,300 video views and 223,000 hours watched across digital platforms.
This past Sunday’s full episode has currently reached more than 300,000 video views and 239,000 viewers. And, the full episode that aired last Sunday, Jan. 16 saw 431,000 video views on YouTube and 344,000 viewers.
81 Consecutive Months as #1 Most Watched Sunday Show in Washington, D.C.
MTP continues to dominate the influential Washington, D.C. market, winning in total viewers for 81 consecutive months.
