June 11, 2021 – NBC News’ Keir Simmons sat down with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow for a worldwide exclusive one-on-one interview airing Monday, June 14 across NBC News’ TODAY, NBC Nightly News, and throughout the day on MSNBC.

As President Joe Biden embarks on the first international trip of his presidency, hoping to reaffirm the United States’ long-standing relationships with some of its most important allies, the wide-ranging interview takes place amid the G7, E.U. and NATO Summits and just days before President Biden and President Putin are set to meet in Geneva, Switzerland on Wednesday, June 16. This marks President Putin’s first TV interview with a U.S. news organization since July 2018.
The exclusive interview will air Monday, June 14 on NBC News’ TODAY, throughout the day on MSNBC, and on NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt at 6:30 p.m. ET. Sky News will also broadcast excerpts of the interview, beginning from 7 a.m. ET on Monday, June 14. An extended version of the sit-down will run on NBC News NOW.
