Follows ‘Dateline’ Topping ABC’s ‘2020’ For Fifth Consecutive Yearly Win
December 28, 2020 – Dateline NBC is the #1 Friday newsmagazine during the 4th quarter, dominating ABC’s 20/20 across the board in all key measurements, including the key news demo A25-54, the key primetime demo A18-49 and total viewers. This marks the seventh consecutive quarter win across the board.
For the 4th quarter, Dateline averages 4.065 million total viewers, eclipsing ABC by +8% (+296,000). Among A25-54, Dateline averages 1.122 million viewers, topping 20/20 by +6% (+63,000). Additionally, Dateline averages 814,000 A18-49 viewers, leading 20/20 by +7% (+54,000).
Dateline also closes out 2020 as the #1 Friday newsmagazine, topping 20/20 across the board for the fifth consecutive win and increasing its advantage over 20/20 in total viewers and A18-49 versus the prior year.
