The 6-episode series offers rare access inside a system dedicated to spotting subtle signs of abuse, with the goal of saving children’s lives and follows families from the hospital room to the courtroom in their fight to keep their children. Hosted by NBC News’ national investigative reporter Mike Hixenbaugh, whose original reporting on NBCNews.com inspired the series, Do No Harm follows two families, the Brights and the Butlers, who are both thrust into a medical and legal system that’s so committed to protecting vulnerable children from abuse, it sometimes fails to protect innocent parents. The podcast features exclusive, behind-the-scenes audio of the Bright family’s emotional interactions with legal and medical officials.
