Wins Every Sunday Among Total Viewers In The Nation’s Capital in Over Five Years
September 29, 2020 – Meet the Press with Chuck Todd (MTP) was the #1 most-watched Sunday show in the key demo for the month of September and this past Sunday, September 27, according to Nielsen Media Research.
SEPTEMBER
September marked MTP’s 14th consecutive month at #1 in the demo most valued by news advertisers and third straight September win.
MTP averaged 632,000 A25-54 key demo viewers for the month of September: five percent (+29,000) more than ABC’s This Week and nine percent (+54,000) more than CBS’s Face the Nation.
MTP averaged 3.023 million total viewers, topping ABC by six percent (+177,000). Sunday’s broadcast featured interviews Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), Chair of the Republican Policy Committee; Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.), member of the Senate Judiciary Committee; and H.R. McMaster, former National Security Adviser to President Donald Trump.
MTP was the #1 most-watched Sunday show in the demo most valued by news advertisers this past Sunday, September 27 and averaged 663,000 A25-54 viewers. MTP topped ABC by seven percent (+42,000) and CBS by +20 percent (+110,000). Compared to last week, MTP grew the most and was up +7 percent (+46,000). An additional 384,000 total viewers and 149,000 A25-54 viewers watched the Sunday program through a rebroadcast on NBC.
MTP continues to dominate the influential Washington, D.C. market, more than doubling the competition across the board. MTP has won every Sunday with total viewers in over five years (since March 22, 2015), topping the competition for more than 230 consecutive Sundays.
