NEW YORK – September 30, 2019 – NBC News’ TODAY is launching a month full of big names, big events and big news. Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, Al Roker, Craig Melvin and Carson Daly will kick off TODAY’s October to Remember tomorrow, Tuesday, October 1 with Kotb’s very personal Pink Power TODAY series for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Big special guest appearances on TODAY this October include former First Lady Michelle Obama, who will make a special announcement on International Day of the Girl, Tom Hanks, who will spotlight Elizabeth Dole’s Hidden Heroes organization, and Monica Lewinsky, who will sit down for a live interview for National Bullying Prevention Month. Additionally, fashion icon Victoria Beckham, Academy Award-winning actress Dame Julie Andrews, comedy legend Eddie Murphy, and “Hamilton” creator Lin-Manuel Miranda will join TODAY to announce their new projects.
TODAY will also launch three new franchise series this October lead by NBC News correspondents including Mr. Smith Goes To… with Harry Smith, Stay Tuned TODAY with Savannah Sellers and TODAY’s Consumer with Vicky Nguyen.
The month will end with TODAY’s biggest Halloween party ever on Rockefeller Plaza. Viewers and fans are once again encouraged to join TODAY’s annual tradition.

- TODAY will spotlight the fight against breast cancer as survivors fill the Plaza and “punch away” cancer while boxing. Hoda Kotb, a 12-year survivor, will sit down with other survivors to share their stories about battling cancer.

- TODAY will spotlight global adolescent girls’ education alongside Michelle Obama, the Obama Foundation and YouTube Originals. Mrs. Obama and Jenna Bush Hager will make a special announcement that day. Alessia Cara will perform on the Plaza.
