#1 in Key Demo for 57th Straight Broadcast – Best Streak in Over 18 Years

Grows Across the Board Week over Week and Year Over Year

Delivers Best Total Viewer and A25-54 Deliveries in Five Weeks (Since January 27, 2019)

MARCH 5, 2019 – Meet the Press with Chuck Todd (MTP) was the #1 most-watched Sunday show across the board this past Sunday, March 3, according to Nielsen Media Research, marking the show’s fourth straight week at #1.

Sunday’s broadcast featured interviews with Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio). 3.897 million total viewers tuned in on Sunday: +29 percent (+874,000) more than ABC’s This Week and nine percent (+326,000) more than CBS’ Face the Nation. This marks the broadcast’s 37th straight win over ABC in total viewers and the 14th win over CBS out of the last 15 broadcasts. Compared to last year, MTP grew by +14 percent (+482,000) and increased its total viewer lead over ABC by +70 percent (+361,000). Compared to last week, MTP was up by 10 percent (+367,000 total viewers).

MTP also won in the demo most valued by news advertisers for its 57th straight broadcast, topping both ABC and CBS by double-digits. 980,000 A25-54 demo viewers tuned into the Sunday program: +39 percent (+275,000) more than ABC and +30 percent (+228,000) more than CBS. This is the broadcast’s best streak in over 18 years (since October 15, 2000). Compared to last week, MTP had the largest A25-54 viewer increase and was up by +21 percent (+173,000). Compared to the same Sunday last year, MTP’s A25-54 viewership was up by two percent (+22,000).

Season-to-date, MTP is the #1 most-watched Sunday show across the board, delivering its best total viewer lead over ABC in seven years and CBS in eight years.

MTP continues to dominate the influential Washington, D.C. market, outperforming its competition across the board and winning every Sunday with total viewers in almost four years (since March 22, 2015).

An additional 463,000 total viewers and 900,000 A25-54 viewers watched the Sunday program through rebroadcasts on NBC and MSNBC.
