TODAY Wins 166 Weeks in Key Demo, Best Streak in 6 Years

TODAY Wins Total Viewers Tuesday and Thursday

NEW YORK – March 5, 2019 – TODAY was the number-one morning show last week topping “Good Morning America” in the key demo A25-54.  The win marks 166 consecutive weeks in first place, TODAY’s best demo streak in more than six years.  TODAY also won in total viewers last Tuesday and Thursday.

  • TODAY improved its A25-54 lead over CBS by 15% week-over-week and by 1% compared to the same week last season

TODAY averaged 1.015 million A18-49 viewers, +59,000 (+6%) ahead of GMA and +452,000 (+80%) higher than CBS

  • TODAY had its best A18-49 lead over CBS in seven weeks
  • TODAY’s A18-49 advantage over CBS increased by 22% versus prior week and by 10% year-over-year

TODAY averaged 4.184 million total viewers topping CBS This Morning by +1.053 million  (+22%)

  • TODAY ranked #1 on two mornings: Tuesday and Thursday
  • TODAY posted its biggest total viewer win over CBS in seven weeks
