#1 in Key Demo for 16th Straight Broadcast

Beats ABC in Total Viewers For 32nd Consecutive Broadcast

NOVEMBER 7, 2017 – “Meet the Press with Chuck Todd” (MTP) was the #1 most-watched Sunday show across the board this past Sunday, November 5, according to Nielsen Media Research data.

Sunday’s special 70th anniversary edition featured an exclusive sit-down with DNC Chair Tom Perez as well as exclusive interviews with Senators Mark Warner (D-Va.) and James Lankford (R-Okla.). “Meet the Press,” the longest-running show in television history, also commemorated its 70th anniversary, featuring archival video from its interviews with 12 presidents, 82 heads of states and hundreds of distinguished journalists.

3.360 million total viewers tuned into MTP, topping ABC’s “This Week” in total viewers for the 32nd straight broadcast, three percent (+82,000) and topping CBS’ “Face the Nation” by one percent (+49,000.)

MTP won its 16th straight broadcast in the demo most valued by news advertisers. 936,000 A25-54 viewers tuned into Sunday’s program: three percent (+23,000) more than ABC and +30 percent (+216,000) more than CBS, which continues to rate for only the first 30 minutes of its hour-long broadcast.

Season-to-date, MTP continues as the #1 most-watched Sunday show in the key demo, topping competition by double digits: ABC by +14 percent (+115,000) and CBS by +20 percent (+155,000).

MTP continues to dominate the influential Washington, D.C. market, outperforming its competition across the board and winning every Sunday with total viewers since March 2015.

An additional 382,000 total viewers and 212,000 A25-54 viewers tuned into MTP this past Sunday through a rebroadcast on NBC News.
