“MEET THE PRESS WITH CHUCK TODD” IS #1 ACROSS THE BOARD FOR SIXTH STRAIGHT WEEK

Marks MTP’s Longest Across the Board Weekly Win Streak Since 2011

Continues as #1 Sunday Show Across the Board Season to Date

#1 in Key Demo for 13 Straight Weeks

Only Sunday Show to Grow Across the Board Year over Year

April 11, 2017 – “Meet the Press with Chuck Todd” (MTP) was the most-watched Sunday show this past Sunday, April 9, according to Nielsen data, marking its sixth straight week as #1 across the board, first time since 2011.

Sunday’s program featured exclusive interviews with Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), and Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), and an interview with U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley.

MTP has been the #1 most-watched Sunday show across the board for 11 of the past 12 weeks. 3.656 million viewers tuned into Sunday’s broadcast, topping CBS’ “Face the Nation” by +30,000 viewers (+1 percent) and ABC’s “This Week” by +657,000 viewers (+22 percent). Compared to both CBS and ABC, MTP was the only Sunday public affairs show to grow across-the-board from the same Sunday last year, marking a 10 percent gain in total viewers. To note, CBS continues to rate only for the first 30 minutes of its hour-long broadcast.

The show continues its #1 streak in the demo most coveted by news advertisers, winning 41 out of the last 44 weeks it has been rated. 1.059 million A25-54 viewers tuned into the broadcast, gaining eight percent compared to the same Sunday last year. MTP topped CBS by +250,000 viewers (+31 percent) and ABC by +312,000 viewers (+42 percent).

Season to date, MTP leads CBS in total viewers by +56,000 viewers (+2 percent) and ABC by +485,000 viewers (+14 percent). In the demo MTP is ahead of CBS by +234,000 viewers (+25 percent) and ABC by +224,000 viewers (+24 percent).

The show continues its dominance in the influential Washington, D.C. market, outperforming the competition in total viewers, and marking its 93rd consecutive broadcast win.

An additional 1.291 million total viewers and 259,000 key demo viewers watched the program through rebroadcasts on MSNBC.
