Nightly News Ranks #1 among A25-54 and A18-49 for 60 of Last 61 Weeks
NEW YORK (September 27, 2016) – “NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt” ranked #1 in the demo for the week of September 19, averaging 2 million A25-54 viewers, leading “ABC World News Tonight” by +200,000 (11%) and “CBS Evening News” by +443,000 (+29%). Among A18-49, Nightly News averaged 1.44 million viewers, topping ABC by +137,000 (+11%) and CBS by +373,000 (+35%). The NBC News broadcast has ranked #1 in A25-54 and A18-49 for 60 of the last 61 weeks.
Nightly News saw its best A25-54 delivery in four weeks, with a 1.64 rating, +0.17 points more than ABC and +0.37 points more than CBS.
Week to week, Nightly News posted gains in total viewers (+3%, or +247,000), A25-54 viewers (+6%, or +118,000), and A18-49 viewers (+6%, or +83,000). Savannah Guthrie anchored Nightly News on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of last week.
