Biggest Total Viewer Audience in More Than 3 Years, Fourth Straight Total Viewer Win Over ABC
Tops Competition in Demo by Double-Digits
Largest D.C. Audience Since January ’09; Continues Dominance in Influential Market
JAN. 28, 2016 – “Meet the Press with Chuck Todd” (MTP) delivered its second back-to-back win in the key A25-54 demo with more 1.316 million viewers for Sunday, January 24.
With a double-digit advantage over competition (+14 percent over CBS’ half-hour and +18 percent over ABC), this marks MTP’s best demo performance since January 8, 2012. Week over week, MTP has grown by 10% among A25-54 viewers.
Delivering 4.104 million total viewers, MTP had its biggest audience since December 30, 2012: a +28 percent increase compared to the same time last year. Despite rating for 17 minutes more than CBS’ half-hour, only 6 percent of viewers separated MTP from a total viewer win.
In the influential market of Washington, D.C., 178,000 viewers and 59,000 A25-54 viewers tuned into MTP – more than double both viewerships of ABC and CBS. This marks the show’s biggest audience in the market since the Sunday before President Obama’s inauguration (Jan. 11, 2009).
An additional 1.252 million total viewers and 454,000 A25-54 viewers watched MTP with rebroadcasts on the NBC network and on MSNBC.
