Al Roker Will Attempt The Guinness World Records™ Title for the Fastest Time to Report a Weather Forecast from All 50 US States and the District of Columbia
Rokerthon 2 Begins in Hawaii Friday, November 6 and Ends in New York Friday, November 13 Live on NBC’s TODAY
NEW YORK – October 27, 2015 – Ready, set, Rokerthon. NBC’s TODAY is bringing back the history-making event and hitting the road for “Rokerthon 2, Taking America By Storm.”
Last year, in the first-ever Rotherthon, TODAY’s Al Roker broadcast a record-breaking 34 straight hours of weather coverage. This year, he will attempt The Guinness World Records Title for the Fastest Time to Report a Weather Forecast from All 50 US States and the District of Columbia.
Rokerthon 2 will kick off in Hawaii Friday, November 6 live on TODAY. Roker will then travel by planes, trains and automobiles broadcasting the weather from cities and towns across the country for a week. Rokerthon 2 will support Feeding America this holiday season. Viewers can log onto today.com/Rokerthon to help TODAY with its mission of “Feeding America By Storm.”
Throughout Rokerthon 2, Roker’s weather reports will air across additional NBC platforms including NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, MSNBC, The Weather Channel, NBC’s local affiliate newscasts, and other programming.
