Two-Hour Program Streams Daily 10 a.m. ET to Noon ET
NBC News NOW Delivers More Live Programming – 7 am to 9 pm ET – Than Any Other News Streaming Service
July 30, 2026 – NBC News will launch Current with Christine Romans Monday, August 3, a new two-hour daily news program streaming on NBC News NOW from 10 a.m. ET to noon ET.
As markets open and the day’s biggest stories take shape, anchor Christine Romans will translate breaking developments, politics, global news and the economy to help viewers stay informed and understand what’s next. The two-hour program will also feature segments on finance, business, technology, AI and other consequential topics, leveraging Romans’ role as NBC News’ chief business correspondent.
“This is a moment to tell stories only the way that NBC News can, with our vast resources and our bureaus around the world,” Romans said. “We’ll explain what’s happening, why it matters, and how decisions made in the halls of power around the world and on Wall Street affect people at the kitchen table. That will be the framing for everything we do.”
Additionally, the show will debut a new franchise, “50 States in 50 Days,” partnering with NBC affiliates to spotlight local solutions to national challenges. Upcoming stories will include features on Cleveland’s foster care system, data centers in Iowa, a Washington community kitchen, the Connecticut housing market and more. Kerrie Wudyka is the executive producer.
With the launch of Current with Christine Romans, NBC News NOW builds on its momentum as one of the industry’s leading and fastest-growing streaming news services, offering more live programming hours (7 am – 9 pm) than any other news streaming service. NOW recently marked its best year ever in 2025 and its seventh consecutive record year since launch.
