#1 Among Key A25-54 Demo in Q2 2026
#1 in Total Viewers and Both Key Demos in June
July 1, 2026 – Meet the Press with Kristen Welker was ranked the #1 Sunday public affairs show across the board in June, winning among total viewers and both key A25-54 and A18-49 demo viewers, according to Nielsen.
In addition to the month’s win, Meet the Press is ranked #1 in key A25-54 demo for Q2 2026. This quarter, Meet the Press averaged 388,000 A25-54 viewers, leading ABC by +43,000 (+13%) and CBS by +40,000 (+11%). This marks Meet the Press’ eighth consecutive quarter winning the key demo, the show’s best streak of #1 ranks since Q1 2021.
In June, Meet the Press averaged 2.859 million total viewers. Compared to last month, Meet the Press turned its total viewer gaps into leads vs. ABC (+301,000) and vs. CBS (+279,000). Additionally, compared to the prior year, Meet the Press turned its total viewer gaps into leads vs. ABC (+301,000) and vs. CBS (+279,000).
Meet the Press averaged 444,000 A25-54 demo viewers in June, leading ABC by +101,000 (+29%) and CBS by +141,000 (+46%). Compared to last month, Meet the Press more than tripled its A25-54 lead vs. ABC (+101,000 vs. +30,000 prior month) and improved its A25-54 lead vs. CBS—which continues to rate for just 30 minutes of its hour-long broadcast—by more than 7x (+141,000 vs. 18,000 prior month). Compared to the previous year, Meet the Press improved its A25-54 lead vs. ABC by 2% (+101,000) and improved its A25-54 lead vs. CBS by 73% (+141,000). Meet the Press has been #1 in the key A25-54 demo for 15 of the last 17 months.
Meet the Press also averaged 280,000 A18-49 demo viewers in June, leading ABC by +27,000 (+11%) and CBS by +51,000 (+22%). Compared to the previous month, Meet the Press improved its A18-49 lead vs. ABC by more than 5x (+27,000) and turned its A18-49 gap into a lead vs. CBS (+51,000). Compared to the prior year, Meet the Press improved its A18-49 lead vs. ABC by 9% (+27,000 vs. +25,000 prior year) and vs. CBS by more than 5x (+51,000 vs. +9,000 prior year).
Meet the Press is the #1 ranked Sunday affairs program among the key demo season-to-date for the second consecutive season. Meet the Press has never lost a month in the Washington, D.C. market among total viewers. The show also reaches millions of Americans every month through digital platforms.
June’s broadcasts featured Kristen’s exclusive interview with President Donald Trump as well as interviews with House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.), Sen. James Lankford (R-Okla.), Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.), Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan and more.
