Ranks #1 in the Key A25-54 Demo Season-to-Date

January 7, 2026 – Meet the Press with Kristen Welker was ranked the #1 Sunday public affairs show for both A25-54 and A18-49 demo viewers this past Sunday, January 4, according to Nielsen. 

Meet the Press averaged 478,000 key A25-54 demo viewers this past Sunday, leading ABC by +59,000 (+14%) and CBS by +36,000 (+8%). This marks Meet the Press’s sixth consecutive demo win over ABC.

In addition, Meet the Press averaged  332,000 A18-49 demo viewers, leading ABC by +33,000 (+11%) and CBS by +14,000 (+4%).

Meet the Press averaged 3.020 million total viewers this past Sunday, reaching its largest total viewership in over a year. Meet the Press was the #1 Sunday public affairs show among key A25-54 demo viewers for the 2024-25 broadcast season. Meet the Press has never lost a month in the Washington, D.C. market among total viewers. 

In addition to Nielsen-tracked viewers, on NBC News’ YouTube account, Sunday’s interview with Secretary of State Marco Rubio scored over 1.2 million views, delivering more than three times the YouTube views of competing Sunday show interviews with the same guest. On NBC News’ TikTok account, the interview with Sec. Rubio resulted in 6.4 million views. In total, clips from all three interviews including exclusive interviews with House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) resulted in nearly 10 million views on NBC News’ TikTok account.
