TODAY Delivers Largest Audience in 44 Weeks

NEW YORK – November 18, 2025 – NBC News’ TODAY was the number one morning show outright last week, marking its third consecutive total viewer win and seventh victory in the last eleven weeksTODAY delivered its largest audience in 44 weeks (since January 6, 2025) and remained the only morning show to increase its total viewer delivery versus both the prior week and prior year.

TODAY posted its biggest total viewer advantage over Good Morning America in 46 weeks (since December 23, 2024) and its widest lead over CBS Mornings in 45 weeks (since December 30, 2024). Season to date, TODAY ranks #1 across the board among total viewers, A25-54, and A18-49.

TODAY HIGHLIGHTS:

TODAY averaged 3.136 million total viewers, beating GMA by +401,000 (+15%) and leading CBS by +1.151 million (+58%)

  • This marks TODAY’s third consecutive total viewer win and seventh in the last eleven weeks.
  • Total viewership reached a 44-week high (best since 1/6/25).
  • TODAY’s advantage over GMA was the largest in 46 weeks (since 12/23/24) and over CBS the largest in 45 weeks (since 12/30/24).
  • Week over week, TODAY was the only morning program to grow in total viewers (+87,000, up +3%), widening its advantage vs. GMA by 51% and CBS by 11%.
  • Year over year, TODAY was the only show to grow its total audience (+316,000, +11%), while doubling its lead over CBS and expanding its lead over GMA by more than 50x (+401,000 vs. +8,000 prior year).

TODAY averaged 646,000 A25-54 viewers, beating GMA by +176,000 (+38%) and leading CBS by +353,000 (+121%)

  • TODAY has been the #1 morning show among A25-54 viewers for 102 consecutive weeks.
  • A25-54 viewership hit a 40-week high (best since 2/3/25).
  • TODAY’s advantage over CBS was the largest in 45 weeks (since 12/30/24).
  • Week over week, TODAY grew +2% (+15,000) and expanded its demo lead over CBS by 12%.
  • Year over year, TODAY improved its A25-54 advantage vs. CBS by 46% (+353,000 vs. +242,000 prior year).

TODAY averaged 418,000 A18-49 viewers, beating GMA by +106,000 (+34%) and leading CBS by +219,000 (+110%)

  • A18-49 viewership and GMA advantage both hit 41-week highs (best since 1/27/25).
  • TODAY’s lead over CBS was the largest in 44 weeks (since 1/6/25).
  • Week over week, TODAY added +17,000 viewers (+4%), improving its A18-49 lead over GMA by 14% and CBS by 10%.
  • Year over year, TODAY widened its A18-49 lead over CBS by 72% (+219,000 vs. +127,000 prior year).
