Marks Latest ‘Dateline’ Expansion to Spanish-Language Content

July 21, 2025 — Beginning today, Dateline NBC is launching a Spanish-language podcast featuring episodes of Dateline. The Dateline en español podcast will drop a new episode every day this week, and after that, new episodes will drop every Thursday and Friday.

Dateline en español marks Dateline’s latest expansion to Spanish-language content. Earlier this year, Dateline premiered Spanish-language episodes on Telemundo, hosted by Noticias Telemundo anchor Julio Vaqueiro, in the franchise’s first-ever venture into fully translated broadcast storytelling. The Dateline en españolpodcast episodes will be the same as the Telemundo episodes of Dateline.
The new podcast is part of the newsmagazine’s massive portfolio, which includes the Dateline’s showcast and numerous #1 original podcasts. According to Podtrac, the showcast, episodes available in podcast form, has ranked as the #1 true crime podcast for nearly four consecutive years
In the 2Q 2025, the showcast also reached its largest number of downloads in five quarters, growing by double-digits vs. last year, with over 75 million downloads in the time period according to Simplecast.
Featured by The Hollywood Reporter as “America’s top-rated true crime TV series and podcast,” Dateline is available across NBC, cable and in broadcast syndication, with hundreds of hours available to stream on Dateline 24/7 channel. Dateline continues to rank as the #1 most-watched news magazine franchise and the #1 most-watched true crime franchise in total linear minutes watched, with 75.9 MM total viewers in for 2Q 2025. It marked a 2% increase vs. prior quarter and a 5% increase vs. 2Q 2024.
