In addition, viewers consumed hundreds of thousands of hours of content across digital platforms.
Sunday’s broadcast featured an exclusive sit down with President Donald Trump. Throughout the wide-ranging interview, President Trump broke news on more than a dozen topics, including the likelihood of a recession in the U.S., whether he needs to uphold the U.S. Constitution, whether he’s pursuing a third term as president and who he views as potential successors.
Politico wrote that Welker’s exclusive was “a revealing Trump interview,” while Jonathan Swan of The New York Times noted, “the revealing exchange was prompted by Kristen Welker asking Trump if he agreed with his Secretary of State Marco Rubio that everyone in America, citizens and non-citizens, deserved due process. ‘I don’t know,’ Trump replied. ‘I’m not, I’m not a lawyer. I don’t know.’ Welker reminded the president that the Fifth Amendment says as much.”
