Ranks as #1 Afternoon Broadcast News Program on TV Season-to-Date
April 30, 2025 — NBC News Daily is the #1 afternoon news program on broadcast television in the key demo for the month of April and last week, according to Nielsen Media Research.
Ranking #1 in the key A25-54 demo for 12 consecutive months, this marks NBC News Daily’s longest key demo winning streak on record. In April, NBC News Daily averaged 221,000 A25-54 viewers, leading GMA3 by +6,000 (+3%).
NBC News Daily is also the #1 afternoon news program on broadcast television in the key demo this past week, recording its 14th key demo win in the last 18 weeks. Averaging 223,000 key A25-54 viewers, NBC News Daily led GMA3 by +8,000 (+4%).
Since its premiere in September 2022, NBC News Daily has ranked ahead of CNN every week during the 12-4 p.m. ET daypart in total viewers and the key A25-54 demo.
Season-to-date, NBC News Daily is the #1 afternoon broadcast news program on TV in the key A25-54 demo, ahead of GMA3, also posting across-the-board viewership growth vs. last season.
NBC News Daily reaches even more viewers on its NBC News NOW streaming platform. Kate Snow, Morgan Radford, Vicky Nguyen and Zinhle Essamuah anchor from 12-4 p.m. ET on NBC News NOW, and depending on location, U.S. markets receive one of the four hours on their local NBC broadcast stations.
