NBC News Records Best Quarter Ever on TikTok With 1.4 Billion Views
January 17, 2025 – NBC News reached ratings highs across streaming, digital and social platforms in 2024 and Q4. NBC News NOW delivered its best year and quarter on record, while NBCNews.com recorded year-over-year growth.
NBCNews.com reached an average of 95 million unique visitors in Q4 2024, +18% vs. Q4 2023, according to Comscore. NBCNews.com is a leader among news sites, ranking ahead of The New York Times Brand, Fox News, ABC News, The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal in Q4. For the first time ever, NBCNews.com has ranked ahead of The New York Times Brand for two consecutive quarters. NBCNews.com is also up +5% in 2024 vs. 2023.
NBC News NOW delivered its best year ever in 2024, marking its sixth consecutive record year since launch, with double-digit, year-over-year growth. NBC News NOW also recorded its strongest quarter on record in Q4, surpassing the prior quarter’s record levels. The monthly hours watched on the streaming network have grown by more than three times over the last four years.
On TikTok, NBC News marked its best quarter on record with 1.4 billion total views, up +504% year-over-year. 2024 was also NBC News’ best year ever on TikTok. TODAY delivered a record quarter in Q4 with 523 million views, up +54% year over year, while Stay Tuned marked its second best quarter with 107 million views, +42% year over year.
TODAY.com averaged 47 million monthly unique visitors in Q4 2024. It continues to rank as the second largest individual publisher among leading lifestyle and entertainment brands in 2024. TODAY Digital also ranks as the leading lifestyle and entertainment brand across key video metrics quarter-to-date.
TODAY All Day had its best year on record in 2024, up +37% year over year, reaching its fifth consecutive record year. Q4 ranked as one of TODAY All Day’s top five quarters on record.
Dateline 24/7, the dedicated streaming channel for the true-crime franchise, posted its fourth consecutive record year, growing by more than +50% year-over-year. Dateline 24/7’s top four quarters on record are all from 2024, with Q4 up +17% year-over-year.
