Oct. 8, 2024 — Dateline will debut its latest original podcast series, The Man in the Black Mask, on Tuesday, October 15. Reported by Keith Morrison, the six-part series dives into a chilling case that blurs the line between make-believe and murder.
Throughout the podcast, Morrison takes listeners through the mysterious world of illusion, fantasy, and deception as he reports on a rising young director working on a horror film about a serial killer in a hockey mask. But when a man disappears near the movie set, authorities are left wondering: Was this a case of life imitating art? Or was something else afoot?
The first two episodes will be available for download and streaming across major podcast platforms starting October 15, followed by two episodes per week in the subsequent weeks. Dateline Premium subscribers will receive early access to the first two episodes on Tuesday, October 8, 2024.
Recently highlighted by The Hollywood Reporter as “America’s top-rated true crime TV series and podcast,” Dateline continues to rank as the #1 true-crime podcast according to Podtrac.
Vincent Sturla serves as producer, with Adam Gorfain as co-executive producer. Paul Ryan is the executive producer, and Liz Cole is the senior executive producer of Dateline.
