‘NBC News Daily’ Ranks #1 in the Key Demos for Q3 2024; Marks Best Quarterly Advantage Over GMA3 on Record
September 24, 2024 — NBC News Daily is the #1 afternoon news program on all of television in the key demos during its timeslot for the 2023-2024 broadcast season, according to Nielsen Media Research.
Winning the key A25-54 and A18-49 demos for the season, NBC News Daily averages 234,000 A25-54 viewers, leading GMA3 by +3,000 (+1%). For the broadcast season, NBC News Daily’s total viewership has grown by +3% year-over-year, reducing the total viewer gap with GMA3 by 50% year-over-year.
NBC News Daily continues to rank ahead of all CNN hours in the 12-4 p.m. timeslot in both total viewers and A25-54, doing so every week since NBC News Daily’s debut two years ago. NBC News Daily also ranks ahead of all Fox News hours in the key A25-54 demo during the 12-4 p.m. daypart.

NBC News Daily also ranked #1 in the key A25-54 and A18-49 demos for Q3 2024, posting its best quarterly advantages over GMA3 on record. NBC News Daily averages 224,000 A25-54 viewers, leading GMA3 by +13,000 (+6%).
Versus the prior quarter, NBC News Daily grew its viewership across-the-board. The program also held its closest total viewer gap versus GMA3 on record.

For the week, NBC News Daily wins the key A25-54 and A18-49 demos for the seventh straight week of head-to-head competition. NBC News Daily averaged 233,000 A25-54 viewers, a five-week high, and outperformed GMA3 by +10,000 (+5%).
NBC News Daily reaches even more viewers on its NBC News NOW streaming platform. Kate Snow, Morgan Radford, Vicky Nguyen and Zinhle Essamuah anchor from 12-4 p.m. ET on NBC News NOW, and depending on location, U.S. markets receive one of the four hours on their local NBC broadcast stations.
